Venture was formed in the early 1970's by a group of Liverpool professionals working
on a voluntary basis. The first development of two bedroom flats was complete
in 1974 and, in 1976, the association appointed it's first full-time member of staff.
Today, the association owns and manages 1300 homes in Liverpool and the Wirral and
has a future development programme for the provision of a further 100 dwellings
over the next three years. Venture now employs 38 members of staff but the
organisation is still controlled by a voluntary Board of Management.
Venture have been operational with AiDA since June 2009.
Supporting approximately 1,300 properties, AiDA is used: -
Manage the organisations requests for adaptations from request to completion
To build the register of installed adaptations
 Keep tenants informed by letter
 Produce performance indicators and reports.
Venture
were recently audited by the Audit Commission, who reported the following: -
"The adaptations service is strong. Venture has an effective IT system for managing requests for aids and adaptations. This lists all adapted properties and tenants applying for help and enables requests to be matched up for vacant properties if possible, or referred to Social Services for assessments. Adaptations in properties are listed if a property is offered on the city wide choice based lettings system. When an adaptation is installed in a property its electronic records are updated. Timescales from the time requests are received, assessed and met are recorded. Venture has a clear understanding of how long aids and adaptations are taking and whether there are delays in any parts of the process which need to be addressed to improve responsiveness."
